ENGIN
Enterprise Application Integration
ENGIN was designed with the flexibility required to be quickly deployed in any high transaction environment.
EAI is the combination of technology, business processes and methods that integrate two or more software applications or systems within a single enterprise. When implemented correctly EAI enables an organization to achieve transparent access to information regardless of its location or format and what application created it. This transparency allows an organization to design its business processes according to its own priorities rather than adapting them to the constraints of its chosen application environment.

Dutch PoliceThe Dutch Police chose M2 Systems' ENGIN product to provide data and information systems integration between the twenty-five previously autonomous districts of the Dutch Police. This has allowed them to provide a nationally integrated information service to both fixed and mobile police operatives. This has provided significant value to the Dutch Police. Not only are there disparate application systems involved, but, unlike in the US where VHF and UHF are used, because of bandwidth limitations in Europe, the Dutch Police elected to use GSM as the mobile communications protocol/method. |

KPNThe telecommunications industry in The Netherlands is changing drastically, as it is throughout the world. In an effort to become more effective and head off potential competition, KPN Telecom, formerly known as PTT Telecom, has developed a more efficient system for supporting their field installers operating throughout the country. The backbone of this solution is M2 Systems' ENGIN Message Broker used to integrate legacy systems for Work Order Management and Parts Management with a new system for providing this information to the Field Installers over a GSM mobile communication network. KPN expects that this solution will be rolled out to support over 16,000 field employees by the end of 1999. |
